Welcome

Cosmic Lucky Bag was established in 2012 in the heart of Johannesburg's creative hub, between the Market Theatre and graffiti-clad pillars of Newtown's vibrant streets. In collaboration with Two By Two Art Studio, the space became a platform for graffiti and street art exhibitions, creative workshops, large-scale mural projects and other events. Over the years, Cosmic Lucky Bag has evolved to accommodate various other creative projects and is now based in Cape Town.

About

Juliet's style is a combination of graphic line work balanced with a more painterly, layered approach. A two-year stint in Japan introduced her to the art of sumi-e (ink painting). The quiet and precise approach to drawing, paired with an immense respect for nature made an impression that has followed her right throughout her art career.

Her formal education includes a BA Fine Art degree majoring in printmaking with experience in stop-frame animation, street art, stencil art, painting and illustration. In addition to curating, research and event coordination, she has also worked in artbook and comic book publishing.
